Progress
On Monday all four of us went to Pawlett to film the remainder of the footage. We changed our location from Brean Down due to lack of time, it would have taken too long to drive to and walk up to the end of Brean Down and we knew of another atmospheric and effective location that was more easily reached. Tuesday Phoebe, Emily and I came into the mac suit to upload the footage and begin editing. Today we perfected the editing and acted upon advice from our media teacher to improve the overall effect. Sam created the end screen for the trailer.

Today Emily and I created all the titles we would need for our trailer on iMovie with more than one example for most so that we could decide which we preferred at a later date. We then uploaded it to YouTube so that we can take out and use the clips that we wish to use in our trailer and uploaded it, with an explanation, to our blogs.

Update
I have now completed my analysis of a monthly magazine, I chose to analyise an issue of music magazine 'Q' as it has a similar audience to that of a film magazine, meaning it will be valuable to compare the two. I created the analysis on powerpoint and have presented it on Slideshare and uploaded the link to my blog.

Update
Unfortunately due to unpredicted weather conditions we were
unable to film in the half term but have met together as a group and decided
upon a more appropriate time to film early next week. Today I have completed the
analysis of our audience survey results on my blog and analysed the cover of an issue of
women’s weekly magazine ‘heat’, presented it on PowerPoint and uploaded it to
my blog.

Progress
Today I have analysed the results of our audience research survey and uploaded it to my blog, and added more content on sound to my video trailer analysis, which has now also been updated on my blog. We have also started to edit the footage to create some sort of framework and decided fully upon dates when we are able to film the sections at Brean Down as we will need more time there and it will take longer to get there, meaning it cannot be done in lesson or school time. We have planned to have our first filming session in Brean tomorrow as it is an inset day at school, so we will have the time. We have also looked up the weather forcast to ensure it will not hinder our filiming plans.

Progress
Today we went to a group members house in order to film some short clips of the antagonist running his had over knives and then picking the weapon he wishes to use. To filmed a few takes of the clip to ensure we should have enough footage to find some suitable for using in our trailer. We also decorated the mask a little so that it would appear more creepy and be more effective in creating the atmosphere that we wish to portray.

Progress
Today we went to the location for the memorial scene and filmed some shots experimenting with different angles and shots, and managed to film some footage that should be useful however due to the wind we were unable to light the candles meaning we will have to return to the location on a stiller day to film further footage. We have also uploaded the footage to the iMac so that we can start editing and finding out what we do and don't want to use.

Update
As a group we have brainstormed ideas and come up with a new concept and story line for our trailer. We first watched other example trailers to help with ideas and then drew out a flow chart of our trailer from start to finish so that we would have a foundation to build upon when starting our storyboards. We have also started to draw up a prop list and have completed our first story board. We researched locations for our setting and decided upon an abandoned building within driving distance. Personally I have completed a written analysis of the House at the end of the street trailer in relation to lighting/colour and shots.

Today I have made sure all my blog pages are published and edited them aesthetically so they look how I want them to. Then I shared my work with another group member so that she could post mine on her blog and I could post hers on mine. So I now have two analysis's of each media on my blog, creating a wider and more accurate knowledge of how each media is used and their conventions when related to horror films.

I have made improvements to my individual film magazine cover analysis and updated it on my blog. I have also completed my horror film poster analysis for the film 'The House at the end of the Street' and uploaded it too my blog. As a group we made notes and created a first draft for the storyline of our horror film trailer in the form of a flow diagram and watched other horror film trailers to help inspire us and give us ideas on how, realistically, using our recourses
we can create an effective and atmospheric trailer.
