Update

We have completed our target audience research and presented it on Prezi. Personally I completed the sections on the socio-economic scale and other interests of our target audience. I also wrote a small section about why we have chosen to put together a small questionnaire to present on our blogs to find out the opinions of people from our target audience. I have also uploaded the risk assessment to my blog.

Update

We have completed our script, following film script conventions. I contributed to that by typing it all up with help from Emily at the start and then working on the rest independently. I also wrote about Todorov's theory, what it does and how we applied it to our initial, and final ideas on my blog.

Update

Today we finished presenting our storyboards, scanned them in and uploaded them to our blogs. We also completed our shot lists and scanned them. We recorded an animated version of our storyboards with a voice over. Personally Emily and I scanned all the story boards and shot lists and finished the shot list between us. Phoebe helped us to upload these to our blogs and looked up and downloaded  music and sound effects that could be used in our trailer. I recored the animated version which was voiced over by Emily and Sam.

Progress

We have now completed our storyboards, personally I contributed to the ideas and did most of the written description, I also did some drawings on the fist scenes. We tried to be more creative with the layout of our storyboards by mounting the separate boxes on coloured card. We have started to put together out shot list and downloaded royalty free music and sound effects that we think could be useful for our trailer.

Update

As a group we have brainstormed ideas and come up with a new concept and story line for our trailer. We first watched other example trailers to help with ideas and then drew out a flow chart of our trailer from start to finish so that we would have a foundation to build upon when starting our storyboards. We have also started to draw up a prop list and have completed our first story board. We researched locations for our setting and decided upon an abandoned building within driving distance. Personally I have completed a written analysis of the House at the end of the street trailer in relation to lighting/colour and shots.

Progress

Today I have made sure all my blog pages are published and edited them aesthetically so they look how I want them to. Then I shared my work with another group member so that she could post mine on her blog and I could post hers on mine. So I now have two analysis's of each media on my blog, creating a wider and more accurate knowledge of how each media is used and their conventions when related to horror films.
