Progress

On Monday all four of us went to Pawlett to film the remainder of the footage. We changed our location from Brean Down due to lack of time, it would have taken too long to drive to and walk up to the end of Brean Down and we knew of another atmospheric and effective location that was more easily reached. Tuesday Phoebe, Emily and I came into the mac suit to upload the footage and begin editing. Today we perfected the editing and acted upon advice from our media teacher to improve the overall effect. Sam created the end screen for the trailer.

Update

On the 25th November Phoebe, Emily and I returned to Brean Down to ensure that the first section of the trailer was completed and Emily and I added in the extra footage to iMovie and edited it. Today the three of us chose which titles we would use and added them to our trailer.

Progress

On Friday Sam, Emily and I went to the Apex to film part of the wood scene and then on Monday our whole group went first to the Apex and then to Brean Down to record more footage. Personally I played a small role in the footage acting wise and helped direct. And today Phoebe, Emily and I uploaded the footage and began to edit and add effects and sound.

Progress

Today Emily and I created all the titles we would need for our trailer on iMovie with more than one example for most so that we could decide which we preferred at a later date. We then uploaded it to YouTube so that we can take out and use the clips that we wish to use in our trailer and uploaded it, with an explanation, to our blogs.

Update

I have now completed my analysis of a monthly magazine, I chose to analyise an issue of music magazine 'Q' as it has a similar audience to that of a film magazine, meaning it will be valuable to compare the two. I created the analysis on powerpoint and have presented it on Slideshare and uploaded the link to my blog.

Update

Unfortunately due to unpredicted weather conditions we were unable to film in the half term but have met together as a group and decided upon a more appropriate time to film early next week. Today I have completed the analysis of our audience survey results on my blog and analysed the cover of an issue of women’s weekly magazine ‘heat’, presented it on PowerPoint and uploaded it to my blog.

Progress

Today I have analysed the results of our audience research survey and uploaded it to my blog, and added more content on sound to my video trailer analysis, which has now also been updated on my blog. We have also started to edit the footage to create some sort of framework and decided fully upon dates when we are able to film the sections at Brean Down as we will need more time there and it will take longer to get there, meaning it cannot be done in lesson or school time. We have planned to have our first filming session in Brean tomorrow as it is an inset day at school, so we will have the time. We have also looked up the weather forcast to ensure it will not hinder our filiming plans.
