Update

On Thursday I created a draft idea for a film poster on paper, today Phoebe, Emily and I went to Apex to film the sequence with the doll; we took lots of shots of the doll and then smashed it. Then Phoebe and I uploaded the footage and edited it into our trailer.

Progress

Today Emily and I have worked on perfecting the editing and Sam has improved the end screen for the trailer. We have decided to add a more complex narrative to our trailer by inserting scenes showing a doll which link to the girl's voice which says, 'I've lost my dolly, can you help me find her?' ending with the dolls head being smashed. We believe this will add depth to our trailer and improve the overall effect. We have also discussed re-filming the knife scene that we originally removed due to poor mise en scene and changing it so that it is a close up shot showing a knife spinning on the table, which would solve the problem of ineffective mise en scene.

Update

Today we all went to Marine Cove to re-filmed a section of the first scenes to ensure that they were the best quality possible. Then Phoebe, Emily and I worked on tightening our editing to make sure the overall effect was as atmospheric as possible.

Update

Today I composed a summary 'what I learnt' paragraph on my horror trailer titles analysis and audience survey results to show how they helped shape our storyboards and final trailer.
